Iran's Offshore Oil Company's capacity to increase
Tehran, Sept 19, IRNA - Some 400,000 barrels of oil to be added to the capacity of Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) within three years, a senior official said on Saturday.
IOOC's Managing Director Saeid Hafezi made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony commemorating the 35th anniversary of IOOC inauguration in Tehran.
Touching upon the offshore Hengam oil field, which Iran shares with Oman in the Persian Gulf, Hafezi reiterated that so far three sessions have been held in Iran.
He added a session is slated to be held in Oman on the offshore Hengam oil field in near future.
'The offshore Hengam oil field has the capacity to produce 30,000 barrels per day, but only 15,000 barrels per day are produced due to its natural characteristics,' he said.
