Bidboland Refinery Signs Deal with Japan's Hitachi
Bidboland Persian Gulf Refinery has signed a new contract with Japan's Hitachi for supply of compressors.

The refinery, a major supplier of feedstock to West Ethylene Pipeline, has signed a deal for supply of compressors and VRU systems used in the refinery's storage facilities with the Japanese major.

The refinery is under construction and has so far made 50% progress.

The project has also held a tender with Iranian participants for supply of GIS switchgears and power posts in the facility's storage unit.

The refinery is being developed for production of 48,000 million cubic meters of sweet and refined methane on a daily basis to be injected to the national gas trunklines.

Once fully operational, the plant will supply 1.5 million tons of ethane and 1.5 million tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) including propane and butane.
