Iran distinguished as second major OPEC oil producer in 2014
According to the OPEC Annual Statistical Bulletin for the year 2015, Iran stood second after Saudi Arabia with daily production of 3,117,000 barrels of oil.

Following oil embargo in 2012, Iran's position in terms of oil production lowered to third in the OPEC list. 


OPEC bulletin said Saudi Arabia with daily production of 9,713,000 barrels stood first and Iraq with an output of 3,110,000 ranked third in the list.

OPEC in 2014 produced as many as 30,683,000 barrels of oil, that is 30 million barrels more than its approved production ceiling.
