The CEO of the Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company said achieving sustainable production requires a smart resource management approach and safeguarding workforce health, adding that the combination of mature and emerging fields in the region creates a unique opportunity to expand oil and gas capacity simultaneously.
According to the National Iranian South Oilfields Company, Ali-Akbar Hafezi-Nia made the remarks at a five-year production forecasting meeting for oil and gas wells. The meeting was attended by CEO Ramin Hatami and other senior executives.
Hafezi-Nia highlighted the strategic importance of Gachsaran’s fields, saying the overlap of long-established and newer fields provides an exceptional opportunity for concurrent development of oil and gas capacity.
“Our goal in this five-year plan is to overcome operational constraints and accelerate development projects with a focus on smart resource management,” he said.
He emphasized that the company has met its production commitments under challenging conditions and credited the workforce as a key factor in that success. He added that sustainable production is not possible without protecting human capital, and strengthening health systems and improving medical services in operational areas are not only welfare measures but also part of a broader strategy to reduce occupational risks and increase organizational productivity.
Participants in the meeting stressed the need to accelerate infrastructure projects, improve gas injection systems and strictly comply with environmental requirements. They said achieving these goals depends on comprehensive cooperation across all technical and operational sectors.
