Lawmakers briefed on oil sector developments
Members of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee met with Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad on Monday to discuss the latest developments in the country’s oil industry, particularly conditions following the third imposed war.
According to reports, the meeting was attended by committee chairman Ebrahim Azizi and several members of the parliamentary committee.

Senior energy officials also participated in the session, including Hamid Bovard, head of the National Iranian Oil Company; Saeid Tavakoli, head of the National Iranian Gas Company; Mohammad-Sadeq Azimifar, chief executive of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company; and Hassan Abbaszadeh, head of the National Petrochemical Company.

During the meeting, lawmakers shared views and proposals regarding the state of the oil industry and discussed potential solutions to address ongoing challenges facing the sector.
