The National Iranian Oil Company is developing a comprehensive plan to boost production at the National Iranian South Oilfields Company, with a focus on field development and accelerating projects aimed at increasing output, the NIOC chief said.
Hamid Bovard made the remarks at a strategic meeting to review development projects at the National Iranian South Oilfields Co.
“Our primary mission is to produce, increase production and sustain output, and we must pursue this path seriously,” Bovard said.
He said the South Oilfields company will pursue production increases through a comprehensive plan covering the short, medium and long terms.
Studies show that implementing planned development projects could significantly increase production at the company while creating new jobs and contributing to economic development in Khuzestan province, Bovard said.
He also called for accelerating project implementation, removing existing obstacles, complying with health, safety and environmental requirements, and making maximum use of domestic capabilities.
Bovard stressed the importance of giving younger employees greater opportunities, saying, “Open the way for young people to develop ideas. They have greater motivation, and their innovative ideas and solutions should be welcomed.”
Referring to the efforts of oil industry workers in southern Iran during the war, Bovard said a wartime bonus for employees who remained in the southern regions has been approved and will be paid.
The strategic meeting was attended by Bovard, Ramin Hatami, CEO of the NISOC, senior company officials and executives of its operating subsidiaries. The meeting focused on removing obstacles and accelerating programs to increase and sustain oil production.
