President Masoud Pezeshkian will travel to Moscow on Monday evening to attend and speak at the eighth summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), the head of public relations at the president's office said.
Habibollah Abbasi, quoted by IRNA, said Pezeshkian will address the summit on Tuesday.
On the sidelines, Pezeshkian is to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin and leaders of some other attending countries, Abbasi said.
The two presidents and their senior delegations are expected to discuss expanding political and economic cooperation and progress in implementing the Iran-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership agreement. The two sides also plan to discuss the latest bilateral developments and key regional and international issues.
